Life coaching that’s supportive, empathic and forward-focused

Pat's life coaching approach is based in positivity, even-temperedness, encouragement, empathy, humility and non-judgmental support. Our coaching sessions will prioritize what’s most important to you as a person.  He'll partner with you to achieve your desired goals by creating and enacting plans to accomplish them. This will occur through gentle inquiry (the art of asking questions to evoke awareness).

Action-oriented sessions with valuable resources

In every coaching session, we’ll collaborate to identify actionable steps that align with your goals. Following our meetings, I’ll often provide resources such as books, articles, etc. to deepen your learning and support your development as a leader.

Getting started with life coaching

To ensure we’re the right fit, we’ll begin with a short consultation phone call or zoom meeting. Afterward, I’ll propose that we start with a single coaching session to explore your objectives. Before our meeting, you’ll complete a brief client questionnaire designed to help you reflect on what you aim to achieve through coaching.

Once we’ve established your goals, we’ll discuss whether a structured coaching program would benefit you. While many people find value in a tailored program, others opt for ongoing, flexible coaching sessions to fit their evolving needs.

Sessions are held through in-person, Zoom or phone calls.

Flexible coaching frequency

Life coaching is typically conducted weekly or every other week during a program, depending on your preferences and goals. Many of my clients choose to continue their journey with monthly or quarterly sessions after completing their initial program, ensuring consistent growth and support.

If you’re ready to enhance your interpersonal skills, gain clarity, and unlock your full potential, this coaching process is designed to help you thrive.

I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Pat Gaston for more than 35 years. Throughout that time, I have witnessed his exceptional ability to inspire, guide, and lead with wisdom, compassion, and a sense of humor. Pat has an extraordinary gift for bringing out the best in people—helping them see their strengths clearly, navigate challenges with confidence, and grow into the kind of leaders who make a lasting impact. I first met Pat while stationed in Germany with the US Army. His leadership principles were demonstrated from day one, when he explained that he would teach me how to do my job, but also how to do his job! As a young lieutenant, I did not understand the point of this. Sure enough, a few short months later, while stationed in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Storm, that is exactly what happened. I was able to step in and fill his role when he deployed with a forward unit. Because of the training I had received from Pat, I felt fully confident and prepared to step into the Battalion S-4 position - a duty that was two ranks above mine - as the Battalion logistics and supply officer under wartime conditions. Pat's integrity, vision, and unwavering commitment to excellence are qualities that set him apart. What I admire most about Pat is his ability to connect deeply with people from all walks of life, listening with genuine care, and offering insights that are both practical and transformative. He doesn’t just coach leaders—he empowers them to lead authentically and with purpose. Pat’s influence in my life and the lives of countless others has been profound, and I can say with confidence that anyone who has the opportunity to work with him will walk away better equipped to lead, serve, and succeed.

Pat Gaston was instrumental in guiding me through a career transition. From our first consultative call, we had an immediate connection. His coaching philosophy—that leadership begins with the courage to grow—resonated deeply with me. Pat helped me align my goals with my core values and vision, then created a structured accountability framework that enabled me to map out and execute my business plan with clarity and confidence. I highly recommend Pat for anyone seeking a goal-oriented coach who delivers real results.

About Pat

He spent both his military and corporate careers striving for excellence. Throughout this time he used the leadership foundation built at the US Military Academy at West Point and refined throughout time working with executives at The Boeing Company and spiritual journey to become his best self. The final building block that brought everything together was Servant Leadership.  Servant leaders prioritize serving others' needs to foster their growth and potential rather than seeking personal power or gain. He has always believed that people are the most critical part of any organization – “People First, Mission Always.” We’ll work together to ensure you work towards being a valued member of every team, and someone who strives to be their best for all of the right reasons.

He pursued coaching to pursue his life’s purpose of “helping others” and bringing his personal and professional experience and expertise into every engagement with clients. This journey allowed him to combine a love for meaningful conversations with the drive to support others in leading with purpose and intention.

His current clients have been attracted by the same things that future clients will be seeking - to create lives and careers rooted in purpose, meaning, and authenticity. Together, we’ll work to cultivate your unique strengths and inspire transformation - in your life and those around you.
